Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 September 2026
Tradinity ("we", "us") provides research tools for Indian stocks and mutual funds at tradinity.app. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, why, and the choices you have. Most of the site shows public market data and needs no personal information from you.
1. Information we collect
- Account details. When you create an account we store your username and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in readable form). If you sign in with Google, we receive and store your Google account's email address and Google's unique account identifier. We do not receive your Google password.
- Things you save. Watchlists, portfolio entries, alerts and similar items you choose to create while signed in.
- Payment records. If you buy a paid plan, payment is handled by Razorpay. We store the order and payment reference, the amount, the plan and the status. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
- Questions you ask. When you submit a question to Ask Tradinity, we store its text and whether we understood it, so we can improve how questions are read. We do not attach your account, IP address or any other identifier to that record, so please do not put personal information in a question.
- Ask Tradinity plan usage. If you are signed in and Ask Tradinity is enabled for your account, we separately record, against your account, the date, which kind of question it was (e.g. a comparison or a backtest) and how much of your plan's research allowance it used, so we can enforce your plan's own query limit and show you your remaining usage. This is a different, account-linked record from the anonymised question log above.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our servers log your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. If an error occurs, our error-monitoring service (Sentry) may receive technical details of that request, which can include your IP address and, if you are signed in, your user ID and username.
- Cookies and local storage. We use cookies that are essential for the site to work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and a security (CSRF) cookie. We also remember your light/dark theme choice in your browser's local storage. We do not use advertising cookies.
2. How we use it
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To provide the features you use, such as watchlists, portfolios and alerts.
- To process payments, activate paid plans and keep records of transactions.
- To keep the site secure, prevent abuse and fix errors.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Who we share it with
Only with service providers who help us run the site, and only as needed:
- Google — if you choose to sign in with Google (sign-in is subject to Google's own privacy policy).
- Razorpay — to process payments for paid plans.
- Sentry — for error monitoring.
- Hosting and content delivery — our servers, and third-party providers that deliver fonts, scripts and charts to your browser (such as Google Fonts and public code CDNs), which can see your IP address when your browser fetches those files.
We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.
4. How long we keep it
We keep account information while your account exists. Payment records are kept for as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal obligations. Server and error logs are kept for a limited period for security and debugging.
5. Security
Passwords are hashed, connections to the site are encrypted (HTTPS), and access to our systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to close your account, and you may withdraw consent where we rely on it. To do so, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time and consistent with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you signed in with Google, you can also manage or revoke Tradinity's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
7. Children
Tradinity is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Not investment advice
The information on Tradinity is provided for research and education and is not investment advice. See our Terms of Service.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when it last changed; if a change is significant we will make that clear on the site.
